Cambridge, England, 27 October 2005
ANT plc (AIM: ANTP), a leading provider of embedded browser, content control and user interface software for IPTV and consumer electronics, announced today that Stephen Reeder, executive vice president of sales and marketing, will be a featured speaker at the TelcoTV 2005 Conference & Expo, 8-10 November at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.
Mr. Reeder will participate in a panel discussion entitled Maximizing the Digital Set-Top Box. The digital set-top box is evolving from an advanced decoding device to an enabler of advanced communication, robust gaming experiences, home monitoring, and most importantly, a significant revenue-generating device. The panel will highlight all of these advancements and discuss their meaning for IPTV operators. The session, taking place Thursday, 10 November from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., is moderated by Bob Larribeau, IP and broadband video specialist from Multimedia Research Group (MRG).
Reeder is a telecommunications expert with more than 18 years' experience in the field. As executive vice president of sales and marketing for ANT, he is responsible for leading ANT's commercial strategy for its unique portfolio of browser, user interface and digital-media management products and services. Previously, Reeder supervised new product development for Concert's ASP hosting business, held various commercial and technical roles within British Telecom's cable TV and consumer products divisions, and specialized in the areas of optical transport and voice-over-IP products at Lucent Technologies.
TelcoTV Conference & Expo is the only event to focus on the IPTV experience from the telecom service provider's perspective. The three day event offers Telcos, both large and small, complete immersion in business, marketing and technology education focused on video distribution. TelcoTV 2005 offers sessions and workshops on every aspect of deploying compelling and profitable video bundles over copper or fiber lines.
