ANT's Simon Woodward Presents Perspective
Gained from Asia's Early IPTV Deployments at IPTV

ANT plc (AIM: ANTP), the market leading provider of software and solutions for the IPTV, hybrid TV and consumer electronics industries, announced today that Simon Woodward, chief executive officer, will be a featured speaker at the IPTV World Forum Asia, 27-29 September at the International Convention Center, Shanghai, China.
Mr. Woodward will participate in a panel discussion entitled Lessons From Asia's Early IPTV Deployments. The session, taking place Wednesday, September 27 at 12:30 p.m., will also feature speakers from Asia Pacific Broadcasting, Shanghai Media Group, and one of Asia's leading players in Information and Communications Technologies, PCCW.
The high-tech market research firm, In-Stat, recently predicted that Asia will account for half of all worldwide Telco TV subscribers by the end of 2009 and also predicted that the Asia-Pacific market for IP video services will grow nearly 80 per cent annually between now and 2010, resulting in a US$4.2 billion market. This panel will discuss the lessons learned and strategies for success in this market that can be gained from studying early deployments in Asia.
Mr. Woodward has more than 25 years' experience in the IT industry covering a range of disciplines, including accounting, engineering and marketing. He trained as an accountant and in 1983 joined Acorn Computer Group in the UK, where he held various senior managerial positions in R&D, marketing and business development, In 2005 he led ANT to a successful AIM float in the public market. Prior to joining ANT, Mr. Woodward ran an information technology management consulting company.
IPTV World Forum Asia is focused on discussing IPTV service deployment issues facing Asia. The three day event will feature more than 25 Asian and Worldwide Telcos as well as leading Asian content players and broadcasters. IPTV World Forum Asia offers a look into the Asian IPTV market with service demonstrations from Asian IPTV deployments, including Chunghwa Telecom and SMG.
