Andy Bovingdon Brings ANT's Expertise in Interactive Television to Parks Associates Fall Focus

ANT plc (AIM: ANTP), a leading provider of embedded browser, content control and user interface software for IPTV and consumer electronics, announced today that Andy Bovingdon, head of marketing and product management, will be a featured speaker at the Parks Associates Fall Focus: Making Media Meaningful, 9-11 November at the Fairmont, San Jose, California.
 
Mr. Bovingdon will participate in a session entitled Enhancing the Television Experience via Interactivity. The panel discussion, taking place Thursday, 10 November from 4.15 to 5.15 p.m., will feature leading companies in interactive television offering their perspectives on creating services for a more involved viewer. Topics will include the features of interactivity that are likely to be successfully deployed first and if consumers are ready for an interactive television experience that requires more than just "turn on and tune out". Moderators for the panel are Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst, and Deepa Iyer, analyst, both of Parks Associates.
 
Bovingdon is a user interface and Web expert with more than 14 years' experience in the field. He is a leading supporter of digital home entertainment and automation and a champion for the delivery of rich interactive media and services through the television. As head of marketing and product management for ANT, he is responsible for identifying and developing new worldwide market opportunities for ANT's unique portfolio of browser, user interface and digital-media management products and services. Bovingdon previously held worldwide marketing and product management positions with Microsoft Research Cambridge, Tarantella Inc. and Santa Cruz Operation. He received a BSc in computer science from Staffordshire University.
 
Fall Focus Making Media Meaningful is an executive conference focusing on media personalization and consumer habits. Hosted annually by Parks Associates, Fall Focus will examine the tools, technologies and services aimed at making personal and commercial multimedia content more accessible and functional for end users.
