Fuji Xerox Selects ANT Galio 3.0 For Touch Screen Devices
Dynamic user interfaces for multifunctional printers
Cambridge, 20 August 2009
ANT, a provider of software and services for the embedded devices market, today announced that Fuji Xerox, the global manufacturer of digital multifunction devices for the office, has selected ANT Galio Browser 3.0 to drive the user interface on its touch screen MFP (Multifunction Printer) devices. The ANT browser will enable Fuji Xerox to create a web services model to deliver a diverse range of web applications to the MFP.
The new agreement builds on the existing relationship between ANT and Xerox Corporation who has already successfully deployed ANT Galio Browser.
ANT Galio Browser 3.0 delivers a highly customisable user interface which can be used to target large enterprises who can tailor the services to meet their specific MFP requirements. It transforms the design process by providing a stable and flexible environment for 3rd parties to develop new web based applications. These applications will enhance the efficiency of Fuji Xerox digital copiers in a variety of ways such as allowing the user to scan documents directly into secure back office systems, or to view and print coupons or on-line news sources at retail locations.
“ANT is pleased to be working with Fuji Xerox, a pioneer in the multifunctional printers market” said Richard Baker, executive vice president, sales and marketing, ANT. “ANT Galio Browser 3.0 continues to be selected across a range of markets as it delivers powerful and functional user interfaces in resource constrained environments. Our standards compliance is ideal for 3rd party content developers, enabling a diverse range of services and applications to be built for Fuji Xerox touch screen devices.”
