ANT PurePlay Digital Media Manager running on Wind River Platform for Consumer Devices at CES Show in Las Vegas

ANT PurePlay ported to Wind River VxWorks Platform for Consumer Devices exploits USB and network connectivity on TVs and embedded devices

ANT demonstrates PurePlay digital-media player and management software running on Wind River's VxWorks-based Platform for Consumer Devices (‘Platform CD') operating system. ANT PurePlay digital-media manager has been ported to the Wind River Platform for Consumer Devices (Platform CD) and is being demonstrated by Wind River at CES. PurePlay is a software product that provides high-quality, innovative, and easy-to-use digital-media viewing and management on TVs and consumer electronics devices.

Platform CD's integrated USB and network connectivity technology gives ANT PurePlay a simple and powerful way to connect TVs and embedded devices to consumers' growing stores of digital media, including JPEG digital photos, MP3 digital audio, and MPEG digital streaming video. PurePlay can access media on multiple digital-media devices, including digital cameras, MP3 players and card readers, simplifying the problem of how to best share digital content in the home. PurePlay can also communicate with the digital media stored on home PCs using wired and wireless networks. PurePlay includes user-friendly media-management functionality, enabling digital media to be managed across multiple directories on multiple devices.
