New software development manager to oversee ANT's engineering team expansion

ANT Limited has appointed Stephen Chalkley to manage the growth and development of its engineering team. The company plans to double its research and development capability by the end of the year and Chalkley's appointment strengthens its management capacity to facilitate this expansion. In his new role as software development manager, Chalkley will also be responsible for the delivery of products on time and to specification, and for streamlining product development process and structure. He will report directly to Dr Jonathan Hoskin, ANT's chief technology officer.

Chalkley has 20 years experience in software engineering and development. Prior to ANT, he worked for Concept II Research Limited as a development manager. In this position he was pivotal in making fundamental improvements to product quality and delivery processes that raised customer satisfaction levels to 93%. He has also worked for Aydin Controls, Custom Micro Electronics and ICL as a software engineer and holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics and Control Engineering from Brunel University.
