Description of Role

As a Software Engineer you will be working with some of the world?s best engineers developing innovative software for several of the largest and most successful technology companies in the world. ANT's software is deployed globally and used every day by millions of people. You will be expected to take a keen interest in the latest digital media gadgets, keep abreast of the latest interactive television market developments and to help shape the future direction of our software products.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability
  • Develop and maintain applications for iPad and iPhone that integrate with and complement ANT?s STB and TV products
  • Contribute to the overall product specification and architectural design of the applications
  • Design, develop, test, debug and maintain software in Objective C ensuring the code is robust, efficient and maintainable
  • Participate in end user trials using the latest digital entertainment and communications technology installed in your own home
  • Work with customers to develop and test new product features
  • Flexibility to travel to overseas customer locations
Requirements
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability, relevant experience and flexibility are more important than formal qualifications
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience of writing high quality, robust, efficient, maintainable code in Objective C for iOS
  • A minimum of eighteen months experience of commercial software development in a team
Desirable skills/experience:
  • Experience of performance engineering/profiling tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with Web services (e.g. SOAP, AJAX)
  • Knowledge of graphic design and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP or similar
  • Experience of developing for other mobile OS such as Android
